NARPM Taps Senior Vice President & COO Dr. Michael C. Threatt

Dothan Housing's Senior Vice President & COO Chosen as Workshop Speaker for the NARPM Broker/ Owner Conference & Expo in San Antonio, TX

Dothan Housing is proud to announce Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dr. Michael C. Threatt, will be presenting this year at the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) Broker/ Owner Conference & Expo on March 28, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Threatt will be presenting on the topic of "How to Maximize Your Profit and Your Return on Investment as a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) Landlord."

As an industry expert on landlords in affordable housing, the Birmingham native plans to discuss why this is an ideal time for landlords, investors, and property management companies to participate in the Section 8 HCVP based on the recent boost of federal funding and the monetary landlord incentives. The presentation is timely with Dothan Housing's current selection to HUD's Moving to Work (MTW) Landlord Incentive cohort. It draws attention to the recent innovations at the organization as one of only 29 PHAs to be selected.

"One of the best parts about my job is teaching landlords how to maximize their profit and cash flow, which helps change perceptions and preconceived notions regarding the Section 8 housing choice voucher program through evidence-based education. The willingness to educate helps persuade more landlords to participate in the program, which means more affordable housing choices for our voucher holders," Dr. Threatt explains.

Dr. Threatt's deep knowledge and ability to serve concertedly as an affordable housing practitioner, licensed real estate professional, and researcher makes him nothing less than an asset to Dothan Housing, its affiliates, and landlords. With his selection being attributed not only to the above but also to his relatability as a landlord within the landlord community, the information provided in San Antonio, TX, is sure to provide conference attendees with an extra edge. He looks forward to educating all on investment strategies, cash flow analysis, net operating income scenarios, and maximizing returns.
