Kickoff for multi-state initiative takes place in Dothan in partnership with Dothan Housing

DOTHAN - The kickoff for the Ben Crump SPINN Feeding Initiative (BCFI), a multi-state effort to assist single-parent families with groceries, takes place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the DothanHousing, Our Community Housing and Enrichment Center, 1001 Montana St., in Dothan. The initiative was started by renowned Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump of the Ben Crump Law Firm and retired Air Force veteran Vanessa Riley Harris, Executive Director and Founder of Single Parents in Need Nationally (SPINN), which is based in Dothan.
In Dothan, more than 1,500 bags of groceries will be distributed to single-parent families beginning at
10:30 a.m. August 21.
Media is invited to attend a brief press conference at the Our Community Housing and Enrichment
Center, 1001 Montana St., Dothan, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, ahead of the distribution.


WHAT: More than 1,500 bags of food will be served to single parents in the Dothan area as part of the multi-state Ben Crump SPINN Feeding Initiative. The distribution is in partnership with the Dothan Housing Authority's Our Community Housing and Enrichment Center.
